Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered in a search tool is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond. We do not disclose it outside our organization unless law requires that disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems may receive your IP address, browser and operating-system details, device type, viewed pages, visit times, duration, and referring site. These details help operate and assess the service.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. Analytics providers use them to summarize traffic and page use. You may block cookies through browser controls, although some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical data supports site delivery, security, troubleshooting, performance analysis, search routing, and advertising. It also helps identify which pages are useful. We do not use visitor data to create court-record profiles.
No Court-Record Data on File
Tucker County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets or personal case records. It provides general directions to WVPASS, Magistrate Case Record Search, Sharon Moats as Circuit Clerk, Brenda Arnold as Magistrate Court Clerk, and other official sources. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power search boxes. Their privacy terms govern information submitted to them, and they control their own retention and disclosure practices. Review the provider's policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to West Virginia courts, clerk offices, case portals, legal resources, advertisers, or search services. Once you leave, the destination's policy applies. Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across sites.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Search providers may receive submitted queries, analytics companies may process traffic data, and advertising networks may process ad interactions. We may also disclose information when a valid legal demand requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information in our control. No internet service can promise absolute security, and we cannot guarantee that a breach or loss will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that such information was submitted, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary by residence and applicable law. You may ask what personal information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or object to some processing. West Virginia's FOIA ยง29B-1-4 concerns access to public records and exemptions; it does not turn this private site into a government records custodian. Court files also remain subject to the West Virginia Trial Court Rules.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as practices or law change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here with its new effective date.
